Thank you for looking into this. I have one more concern/question. I see that the mod lists a single user's scores multiple times in the high score area. So e.g. if there is a user that plays a game 10 times and has different scores each time and submits these scores as well then the mod will list all 10 of his scores rather than a single one (the highest).

Is it possible to somehow make the mod only consider & list a user's highest score rather than all their scores?

Of course. I have a list of things to do for a short-term fix, and that is included (well.. at least partially). Problem is finding the time to complete the fixes needed, and then testing them!

is this ipbarcade going to receive a beta 2 update? I'd really like to let my members play some games but I do not want to run into problems. so is this patch 2 thing happening anytime soon? :)

Not unless Collin is able to "finish" the job, no.

Until late January time, I'm tied up quite heavily with work and university, and I'd hope by then that IPS 4 is available for us developers to work with, and then we can get a version out for then.

What I will say though is that the current version does work if you can handle a few glitches here and there.

when I click on report game link I get this message

"We could not determine what type of content you are attempting to report."

and I am the root admin. what am I missing here?

also I get a blank page and not settings are saved when I edit game info in Game Management -> Edit Games

http://www.website.com/admin/index.php?adsess=51e2722277dbb335d71b8bb64c89a3c9&app=iArcade&module=games&section=gameedit&do=saveform

please, tel me how can this be fixed. I really dont want to wait untill IPB 4 for arcade to work...

also another question. is it possible that forum might be opening to a security risk from running flash games? I mean if a game has a security issue (if thats even possible at all) can it compromise the security of the entire forum?

Reporting games was never implemented correctly in the first place. It's actually been removed in our development copy altogether.

White page shouldn't happen (does it happen on all games? - I never noticed it during development...), but I will try to look at that this weekend at some stage since that sounds like it'll be a relatively quick fix...

And finally, this is a difficult one. On paper, it's not a security risk since everything being written to the database is being run through the IPB methods for protection etc. And the .swf files are copied from the .tar and never touched by the forum except for embedding it in the page (which is done through the HTML anyway). I've never known of an IPB forum ever hacked through an arcade - and all the scoring/saving systems are pretty much the same since day one. The longer answer however, is that yes, there is a chance to the user, just as there is a chance that by going on a dodgy website with flash adverts could install tracking cookies, keyloggers etc, which could of course then compromise your FTP account. The forum itself should be safe however.

It should use the same string as the application tab in the header?

hi, I see that the file was updated. what changed? editor patch? ability to translate iArcade profile tab in profile view? is it enough for the upgrade to upload new files? nothing else needs to be run?
