I would love to be able to see the ability to import 10 games into a category, or be able in the install game screen have a check box and a drop down menu that chooses which category to install the games to. Installing 1700 games one by one, and then manually editing each one to select the category is a bit tedious. Love the look of the games in the view games screens, way nicer and smaller than the ibparcade having absolutely massive boxes to look at each game. Looks terrible on it, lovely on yours.

There's a beta mass importer in the works. It's in the code but is unreliable so it's not linked anywhere. One "bad" game throws the whole thing off, so it needed better error handling. I expect to have it fully polished and working with the next release.

Thank you for your feedback as well.

Hi i'm having a little trouble with the app, when i enable it my site says:

The website encountered an error while retrieving http://ancient-fury.com/Forum/index.php?/iArcade/. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.

HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.

Thanks

there is tars directory issue
system installs using public_html/forums/arcade/tars//tars/
see it places //tars when it should be public_html/forums/arcade/tars/
cannot see to get this fixed in acp, there is no way to save after editing that ftp path

edit:

in /forums/admin/applications_addon/other/iArcade/modules_admin/games/import.php on line 119

change

$location                = $this->settings['iArcade-path'] . '/tars/';

to

$location = $this->settings['iArcade-path'] . '';

fixed the tars//tars issue for me

Very nice! Well done.

Is there a way to mass import everything I've uploaded via FTP or must I click on each .tar file individually?

EDIT: I see you said one is in the works above. Might be a bit late for me...guess I'll suffer through the 1,000 clicks of doom while watching a movie :)

I'm just wondering I started a support request with you a week ago I'm planning on buying one of your packages But your description seems a little confusing I'm looking for clarification
Also having a arcade system that won't allow a person to add additional games is quite worthless and it appears I'm not the only one with the same issue, So I guess I'll just uninstall and try something else ,, Hopefully with better support

I also can't even post in your forum to get peer support and my account was validated, Disappointing to say the least

#1: There's a resend validation link. Did you try that?
#2: You can easily add new games. http://www.iarcademod.com/forums/index.php/topic/21-where-can-i-download-games/
#3: Good luck with whatever else you choose. :)

It's not dead, no - I've got a number of small feature updates ready to commit to the repos, but I just don't have any time to do any application updates right now and check they work properly. I'm not sure what the rest of the development team is up to, but I guess Collin is busy with IPS work if 3.4 is being released soon - but that's just a guess.

As for the errors mentioned recently:

AlexJ - You need to re-install the hook from the download. It seems that IP.Gallery has changed it's hook structure, and because of the way we hook into the IP.Board files and the way IPB handles them, the hook needs to be reinstalled. If you check the hook file in the download (I think it's called iArcadeScoringSupport.xml) you'll see there is no reference to IPG in it.

Axel - 500 errors can be caused for any number of reasons. Could be IP.Gallery (as above) or a problem with the server. How long have they been happening? Is there anything more specific in your server error logs that I can use to narrow it down with? I can't fix it solely on knowing you're having 500 errors, when I don't get errors on my development board, the iArcade test site, iArcade main site, or on any other sites around that I know use the app.

:)

Well, I was able fix it. It was rather IPB issue than iArcade.

But I have issue on iArcade board. I cannot post new topics, why?

Though the App itself is not "dead" per se, the iArcade Mod Community Forums have been somewhat dead. As a result, they've been flooded with spam after spam topics for the past few months now. I had to go there myself and unsubscribe from receiving further notifications of new topics because my inbox has been constantly overflowing with spam topics from that place. My guess as to why you can't start a topic there is that perhaps Collin (after Josh D. e-mailed him about the spammers there) disabled the option to start topics to stop the spammers from creating spam topics in that particular forum. Didn't really help much since the spammers are still starting spam topics there in other forums.

I am terribly busy at the moment - I work for IPS as most of you know and that consumes most of my free time that is not otherwise taken up by being a full-time university student or personal matters on weekends. Even my own personal projects have been somewhat sidelined right now. It's a shame, because as Lewis mentioned, we did have some features in the pipeline that were *really cool* and my hope is that we can just roll everything into a new app once 3.4 comes out. No guarantees, sorry folks, but you're not forgotten.

Is this application alive or already dead?!

I have some 500 internal errors with this and there is no man who can fix issues.

It's alive.

#1: I recall you're from NorCal... and your username made me literally laugh out loud.

#2: About the spam... that was my bad. I was tweaking settings accidentally disabled registration anti-spam, and we had 300 new accounts created in 3-4 days that have gone hog wild. I've tried to reign the spam in to no avail, but I do hope it's under control now. Yes, I did disable some posting settings, but I will go ahead and correct them right now so you all should be fine again. I apologize. :(

It's possible I have seen there some spam topics.

Over one thousand of them. Most of them stayed unapproved, but about 100 of them navigated around that and made quite a mess. :(

Is there a premium version I could buy without ads? :(

I wouldn't have spent 9 hours picking out games if I had known that there were very loud ads that play before each game. Not having any advertisements is a fundamental part of my site and is even in my meta description. I would be able to pay a lot for that.
