BN_IT_Support
I'm looking for some help optimising a windows 2008 R2 dedicated server please. All I know is that it has a 2.4GHz processor and 4GB of RAM. Beyond that I have no idea where to start looking to see what the specs are or what they ought to be. Can anyone help or point me in the right direction please. Thanks
Joshua Sterling
I would start here. This will show you how to get PHP running using the PHP Manager for IIS, Install WinCache and MySQL. It also has tutorials for converting .htaccess url rewrite functions to IIS Rewrite and best practices for hosting PHP apps on Windows. http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/24/running-php-applications-on-iis/ Post back if you have any other questions or problems. BN_IT_Support
Cheers thanks, this is a whole new world for me! However I'm now immediately stuck. I've downloaded WinCache from http://pecl.php.net/package/WinCache and unpacked it, but cannot find the .dll file. The package has an xml file and php file and lists of wincache_ files but no all file and seemingly no distinction between 5.2 and 5.3 versions. Can you just clarify what I am meant to do next with all these files please? Many thanks
