Invision Community 5: A video walkthrough creating a custom theme and homepage By Matt Thursday at 04:02 PM
ran3v4 Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 I had a problem qith one member wanting to close his account and it went really, really, bad. Would it be possible to give them the right to close and delete all of their content? thanks!
3DKiwi Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Surely all they have to do is ask? Over the last 7 years I've had a handful of members wanting their accounts closed and content deleted. I just do it manually. At the end of the day it's your site and they have no right to dictate to you what you must do. You're under no obligation to delete their posts but it may save a bit a hassle if you do delete it. 3DKiwi
AndyF Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Similar for me really, I've had one member ask for their account to be removed (since about 2004) and that was after they had not been active for a year or so. Once I'd confirmed it was what they really wanted and there was no "undo" if they changed their mind, I did it. This kind of "close / delete my account" option would be suited to a third party hook really.
