joelle
Google will read two different URL's for the same content. For example this URL... ...and this URL unread/ ...will lead to the same content. Don't you think that the two different url's which lead to the same content could be bad seo practice?
bfarber
No, because the second URL 301 redirects to the original URL + parameters to identify necessary pieces of the page. It does not send you to the exact same content (at least it does not send you to the same content after you have seen the page), but even when it does, it's performing a 301 redirect. joelle
I am not that much of a seo expert but I am eager to learn more about it. :) Thanks for telling me about the canonical link element.
