Invision Community 5: A video walkthrough creating a custom theme and homepage By Matt Thursday at 04:02 PM
SecondSight Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Hello ! I'm still using the 0.9.8.1 sphinx version... My board is version 3.2.3 and I decided today to use the new sphinx.conf file created by IPB in the ACP, but when typing :/usr/local/bin/indexer --config /path/to/sphinx.conf --all I got this error :ERROR: unknown key name 'sql_attr_bigint' So, I believe my sphinx version should be upgraded since I read that sql_attr_bigint was added in Sphinx 0.9.9. But how can I achieve this ? Do I simply remove the existing files and directories and intall the latest version ? And which sphinx version should I choose so that it works well with IPB ? Thank you !
tkheadcase Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Unless they've changed recently the IPB folks have always recommended the 0.9.9 version.
Dmacleo Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 I used latest sphinx on 3.2.1... 3.2.2 and up never worked. as it was always somewhat hit or miss I gave up for now. in week or so will be trying again.
Grumpy Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 I'm using the latest and works fine for me... out of the box. No additional work (beyond actually installing and integrating IPB ofc).
d4rkcry3r Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 I also using the latest one on my board, working perfectly out of the box. The IPB documentation seem different, so I just compile it while searching at Google when get any problem.
