Richard.C
now I've finished messing about with this on our dev site, I just tried to install it on our live board Fatal error: Call to a member function prim_nav_app() on a non-object in /*snipped*/globalProMenuPrimNavApp_7666f7cfc63155304d7f4ea0767c7e66.php on line 102 Link to comment

Robert Simons
here it ishttp://community.inv...57#entry2215857 for me is: that one would work in the same manner ... that too would also need to be altered .. if you've changed the skins name and that is a better solution BTW..as ya never know how many skins run off the master skin folder..where names are unique Link to comment
Richard.C
sorted, I ran it before from toolbox but it couldn't find the table, ran it from phpmyadmin this time and it worked fine :) Link to comment

Richard.C
yeah kind of a major flaw in the proceedings... on the plus side, you menu is now working on our live site along with the fusion header menu (until you bring out your version) FYI works with fusion as long as you disable the 2 x fusion primary nav menu hooks (but not the main fusion menu hook) Link to comment
BryanG
I added a new skin to my site, but the ProMenu tabs didn't adopt the new skin and show up under the old skin colors. Is there something I can do to change this? I tried rebuilding caches, but that didn't seem to help. Thanks Link to comment

Thanks it is not supposed to inherit a new skin's templating look and feel .. its up to you too design its look to match each of your themes this is done via the promenu.css located in the templates Link to comment
Robert Simons
UPDATE: I will probably be releasing another upgrade tonight/tomarrow ... this upgrade will address: 1. ccs folder/page display in acp menu descriptions .. this originally just displayed the page name 2. secondary navigation (sec_nav) has been modified to fix a bug .. did not work properly when using IPC as default application 3. I relocated where I add js to head location ... disabling of the removal tools will no longer effects the js output 4. I renamed the hooks to better describe their functionality 5. I renamed some of the features to make them easier to understand for beginners 6. I've seperated the custom menu and default application features into different sections to help avoid confusion 7. added help content to the left side block for each section this will most likely be the final release of this style of menus ... the next release (unless some unforeseen bug appears that will need a quick release) will most likely be some time in the making as it will be redesigned to accomidate groups NOTE: this upgrade will require users to revert their sec_nav template (if any changes where made of coarse .. otherwise it will carry over automatically) ... and any default application settings (global settings .. not menu specific) will need to be reset. Robert Simons
ok everyone..upgrade is posted .. even added two extra features not posted above: ability to disable mouse hover descriptions entirely and the ability to use data-tooltip versus title on mouseover of descriptions .. both are a per menu setting you will need to revert nav_menus, nav_submenus, prim_nav, and sec_nav as changes where made to those template bits to accomidate the new settings and to fix a minor bug.. no changes to stylesheet... Robert Simons
Hi Robert, Does this upgrade include group permissions or are permissions still based on member sets? Thanks Clancy not yet..that is the next step..as I stated a few posts back..this is the last release in the plain "menus" style ... next version I will be adding in the ability to add groups for different menu sets ... for permissions reasons..different locations ... or combination of the two .. when I do release that version .. the price will be going up .. of coarse those who have already purchased have no worries as it will not be a re-release (I'm not a believer in re-releasing products).. so no re-purchasing required Link to comment
Robert Simons
no custom skin work done this time so upgrade was super smooth. just wanted to toss that out there  well hopefully I wont have to edit the stylesheet again ... as thats what would cause an issue with most users .. now the template bits .. they all required alteration ( 3 templates needed changing to add in the new features .. and sec_nav had a bug that needed squashed  ) .. so if you haven't yet .. you need to revert all 4 template bits (if you had made any changes..otherwise there is no need) .. after noting your earlier changes and reapplying them after you revert then save Link to comment
Robert Simons
NOTE: the next release (unless some unforeseen bug arises and requires a patch) will be some time in the making as its going to be a big step from what is currently available ... any suggestions or requests are welcome .. as this is the perfect time to add in new material as alot of the source will need to be altered anyway to accomidate groups. IPCommerceFan
Hello, just purchased this today and I believe I've stumbled upon a bug. I just deleted a sub-menu, and now my forums are all gone. Tried rebuilding skin cache, different browsers, etc. The forums are simply gone now. This is a test build so I'm ok with restoring from yesterdays backup, but I imagine this is happening to others. Can someone confirm? Robert? Here are the steps I took to get it to happen (twice): 1) Fresh install of IPB. 2) Install ProMenu 3) Create a menu 6) Delete the menu 7) Forums gone. 8) Try adding menu back 9) Forums still gone ^ The above was all done without even enabling the custom menu features. The only way I can get the forums to come back is by restoring my mysql db then uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Is anyone experiencing this? Link to comment

Have you checked your permissions..as I can't see any app actually deleting your forums ... hiding them on you could be a possibility Link to comment
netrix64
When I installed or upgraded an application the last few times I always lost permissions in some forums so just check the permissions. This also happened when I removed an IPS App. Link to comment
Luis Manson
is it normal to have, lets say a menu with 10 sub menus like: menuA > SubMenu1-10 and to see the main menuA, but the sub menus in the "more" tab instead? Link to comment
netrix64
I've seen this too so it could happen if your menu is rather full, let's say you have 10 or more menu entry's with rather long titles. So I can confirm this Link to comment

I honestly doubt it was your app either, but I thought it worthwhile to report it. I'll see what I can do on my end to figure out what caused it. Edit: Sure enough, it was the forum permissions! I have no idea why deleting a menu in promenu would cause the "Show forum" permissions to become un-ticked, but at least I have a workaround now any time I have to delete one. Edit edit: After successfully reproducing this a few times, now it won't do it. Its the strangest thing. Link to comment
Ocean West
Come to think of it I too suffered from random messed up permissions in random forums and other applications - the only major thing I did in the past few weeks was add ProMenu and delete/remove FusionMenu. As an administrator I had lost access to a few forums and also lost access to my blogs, and IPC - guests also lost ability to view a few forums and IPC. I am not sure where this permission issue stems from. - I had to go thru forums and permissions and confirm every thing again - its all back to normal - but not sure why permissions would go sideways or what the root cause is. Robert Simons
very strange....as I can't reproduce this effect ... if anyone can reploduce it w/o fail .. please let me know ... if it is promenu (not saying it is..or isn't at this point...though baffled as to how it could happen) causing permission failures its something that needs addressing Link to comment
