Need a news feed for your main page? This is for you.

Here are two news feeds styled to match one another.... One Forum Feed block to feed topics from the forum(s) you specify... And... One Article Feed Block to feed articles from the categories of your choice.

The article feed includes the article image, which when clicked will open in the lightbox!

Want to share your content on social media? Currently Googe +1, Twitter, and Facebook are included in both blocks. Others can certainly be added if there are enough requests.

Great block, only issue I have is when clicking the view comments it goes to yourwebsite.com/page/topic instead of yourwebsite.com/topic which causes a no page found error.

That's going to be something in your SEO FURL settings, I believe.

The link is generated using query string.

<a href='{parse url="index.php?showtopic={$r['tid']}&event=getnewpost"}'

Go to ACP->Settings->System->Search Engine Optimization. What are each of the settings under 'Friendly URL Features' ?

Would it be possible to add Google +1, Twitter and Facebook Like in each topic feed? Like next to comment button or something?

hmmm... Let me look into it and see what it would take to do that... I've yet to dabble in the social share ring.

Is there any way to make this just display 1 news articles from my news section?

Absolutely... After you import the block, click it in the block list to edit it... Then go to the 'Step 4, Filters'. All the way at the bottom, change the LIMIT to 1.

In your xml file you have so

ression="IPSMember::makeProfileLink( $r['starter_name'], $r['starter_id'], $r['seo_first_name'] )"} <br /><hr /><br />

<!-- Author -->

<b>Posted By: </b>{parse exp

what is " <hr /> " - should be " <br /> " ? and last peace of code is

</td></td></table>

</div></div><br>

</foreach>

</if>

<br />

should this " <br>" was there or maybe "</tr>" instead?

PM'ed you the block code required to make the changes you're looking for. Let me know if you have any issues...

FYI, there is a typo... The last </td> is supposed to be a </tr>... However, it won't cause any issues as the browsers are smart enough to close it out when the table is closed, so it won't cause any issues... It will be fixed in the next version that I release...

And the <hr> is correct... it's a header row...
