open ipb_styles.css, search:

.post_body .post { color: #a2a2a2;margin-left:30px; border-bottom: 1px solid #e4e4e4;}

then replace #a2a2a2 to #000

Did that, nothing changed. Also, anyway to make the board just a little wider?
