In the ACP, go to Look & Feel -> Template Tools. Rebuild the Master HTML for the Newsletter application Recache your skins Let me know if that helps. markopolo2002
Actually quite wierd, I tried that earlier (or so I'm sure I did) but it didn't work - just did it again and hey presto, all working by the looks of things! :) Thanks Marko
markopolo2002
Maybe spoke too soon, just disabled the first test newsletter and now board index showing:Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/########/public_html/hooks/newsletterSidebar_8b66c907e0d1ce17faa8d31bf45d08b6.php on line 36 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/freeware/public_html/hooks/newsletterSidebar_8b66c907e0d1ce17faa8d31bf45d08b6.php:36) in /home/########/public_html/admin########/sources/classes/output/formats/html/htmlOutput.php on line 114 Does only show when there are no Newsletters available, cause I created another and the error on the board index has now gone. markopolo2002
Sorry to keep posting, just a possible suggestion ... I've been messing a little with the creation of the newsletters and I'm wondering if it wouldn't be too difficult to include the option to show the avatars of posters, floated left of the content in question?. Kinda had a stab at it using the templates myself but gave up in the end !
vitoreis
Running 3.3.0 and the version latest of [Newsletter]. The URLs that go wrong are the content links in the email. I have created a newsletter with the 20 most recent topics from certain forums. All of those links go to mysite.se/s?=0 So it is automatically created links that don´t work. The footer is fine. Maybe because of the non-FURL link? The same for the topics created for a newsletter. See bottom of pic to see how the url shows when holding mouse over link. One more... just /s?=0 links from forums
surinp3
One more... just /s?=0 links from forums  Yes... Still same for me too. Sent 5000 mails yesterday (my monthly newsletter) and they are all broken links.
HeadStand
Why am I not getting my notifications for this topic? :( I'll look into these issues tomorrow.
markopolo2002
How does it work for guest's to subscribe to the newsletter?. There is the option of any group to subscribe when creating the newsletter, but whilst browsing my site as a guest there is no 'subscribe' button visible. Does this only appear if there is a newsletter due to be sent?. Cheers Marko
markopolo2002
I'll look into these issues tomorrow. Now I'm seeing the same ... the first newsletter worked fine, all the links were in tact and went to the right place, the next issue sent automatically but now with links like /s?=0 on downloads and forums?. markopolo2002
Hmm, not getting a good feeling about this to be honest - second newsletter just went to over 4000 members and all the links are broke ... can we have some acknowledgement this matter is getting dealt with please? Thanks Marko
HeadStand
A new version has been uploaded to the Marketplace. Changes include:When no newsletters were enabled, the board index showed a PHP (non-fatal) error. Fixed. Newsletters were distributed with broken links (s=0). Fixed. Please let me know if the broken links issue persists. I am fairly certain I fixed it, but then again, I thought I had fixed it before. Feel free to PM me directly, as I seem to not be getting notifications for this topic (despite the fact that I am following it).

There is the option of any group to subscribe when creating the newsletter, but whilst browsing my site as a guest there is no 'subscribe' button visible. Does this only appear if there is a newsletter due to be sent?. Cheers Marko At this time, the Newsletter does not support distribution to non-members. I may add this in a future version, but it will require some significant re-work of the core logic... so no timetable yet. Sorry to keep posting, just a possible suggestion ... Kinda had a stab at it using the templates myself but gave up in the end ! I'll add this to my enhancement list. My main concern right now is to get these distribution issues ironed out. markopolo2002
Thanks, will keep you informed once the newsletter goes out  However, I am noticed that the newsletter is no longer showing on the board index sidebar - I've checked the permissions are set, etc, but still nothing? markopolo2002
Well, our daily newsletter went out 10 minutes ago and it's still go the problem with the links  When I manually "publish" the newsletter, all the links work fine - it's just when we leave the newsletter to go out itself the problem happens? markopolo2002
Hmm, yet again I'm beginning to get that sinking feeling - I have a newsletter being sent to over 4000 people with useless links - Headstand, this isn't really what I expected - either this mod can be working sometime soon or I'm pulling plugs I'm afraid.
markopolo2002
It's quite obvious something is very wrong with this mod, and the lack of acknowledgement from the developer is seriously disheartening - I am now noticing there are links such as "You can unsubscribe at any time here: http://url/s=0" in topic notifications which shouldn't have anything to do with the newsletter subscription. The same links are still in the newsletters being sent out which my users are now seriously annoyed about and the newsletter subscription options have vanished outright from the board index after the last upgrade. Sorry, but I'm not a beta tester, I'm a customer and as such I'm marking this mod as broken and will be requesting a full refund.
markopolo2002
For the love of god, what is happening with IPBoard these days ... http://community.invisionpower.com/tracker/issue-37199-unsubscribe-link-broken-in-emails/ Headstand, it looks as though I need to apologise for this as it would appear the issue could actually be with IPBoard and not your mod - I just wish you would post back a little more often though so we don't feel as though we're left high and dry sometimes. I'm sorry as well... it's been an insane week. Should be a little bit better going forward. I actually got to my desk early today just so I could look at this issue - and now I see that I may not have to. Now let's just get the "reported as broken" detail taken care of. Your other issue - regarding the sidebar - will be fixed today.Oh, and one more thing, in the future, if you see that I don't respond, please please PLEASE send me a PM or even a direct email (support@headstandconsulting.com). Michael
So we've determined that this is not broken, is that correct?
markopolo2002
I would definitely withdraw my report that it was broken Michael - basically the same issue regarding the URL's is happening on IPBoard with or without the Newsletter mod installed/enabled - unfortunately no-one realised this until I had a poke around the tracker :)
