I'd like to see the 'preview' button work when you're looking at your messenger list too, showing the first / last message, just the same as it shows the first / last post in a topic.

This could be quite helpful where you've several similar ones and you're not sure which one you need to re-read.

I don't know why the word "inline" is in there, because that is the option that creates a pop-up window with the latest PM.

Just for clarification :)

I mean the actual topic preview when in forum view but apply it to the messenger listing.

I know Andy but I just loved that feature and thought it was removed :P
