Invision Community 5: A video walkthrough creating a custom theme and homepage By Matt Thursday at 04:02 PM
steve00 Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Is it just me or are the ips forums, topics, posts, gallery, blog etc pages taking ages to load and getting quite annoying (even happens on the ips main page) am not referring to my forums ... all of the ips site itself. Have been experiencing this for some time now and happens at various times of the day. Or is it because am in the UK and so there will be a slow page load (although never used to happen) ?? Does anyone else have this problem ?
Martin A. Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 I have the same experience. I think it's mostly due to the daily backup that run during the night over there.
steve00 Posted October 15, 2011 Author Posted October 15, 2011 backups are not run all day though are they ? this happens at various times during the day (even now am experiencing the same problem and believe it is approx 11am in USA so cannot see backups being done at this time)
bfarber Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 This same topic resurfaces every week or two. Often times, it's because we are under heavy DOS or DDOS attacks which are difficult to mitigate.

Have no issues at any other time.
