My opinion is that it sounds like a nice feature, but could cause large databases to grow in size greatly. This (database size) can be a real problem for very large boards. You are right. But.. of course a feature like will have an on/off switch. You might as well warn users when they are trying to enable this feature that it may make their databases bigger. Because there are who won't care about that, because they do large space plans for their DB, and there are others who will prefer to use it because they have small space for their DB. I think that's a good idea. Edit: Plus, I have an awosme idea that can solve that anyways. You might also add a setting that will say how much time a post history record will be saved. Let's say for example I set it to 1 month, so after 1 month it'll be removed. And there will be a cron job process that will check every time and remove all the old records. "This post has 6 edits logged from the last 10 minutes" I don't consider database space a real dramatic constraint, but it's pointless to log edits made within such a short time span, since it's (almost always) just quick edits to fix typos and grammatical errors. 10 minutes may be too long for some larger boards, and some may simply not want it, which is why I also support it being a definable setting regardless.
