They still mistakenly clicking...

do it on here all the time
current default way is not logical
be better imo to use the
avatar image purely as the profile link/rollover trigger and the text as the last post

could ask what is the point of having two profile links so close together
less links per page the better
especially if you think just how many times are people going to click on the profile

if the image was the trigger then it would bring a sort of uniformity to the indexes

all popups would be in a straight vertical column

members would only get the popups if mouse enters that "zone"

the "last post" links would be in a similar vertical zone

to me it would makes the layout more simple and more intuitive

The problem is, when looking at a list of forums you need to show the topic title in the "last post" area. Otherwise, you'd just see "so and so posted on x date" with no idea what they posted in.

When you are viewing a list of topics it makes no sense to show the topic title AGAIN in the last post info column (the title is already displayed in the first column).

if you combined the links in the furthest right column to always provide one link to the last post each time
and the image to always be the trigger for the popup card and link to profile then above wouldnt be a issue
and both pages would have the same setup

to me would be an improvement as even now find myself when going to view "last post" theres always a pause as have to check if got right link
if adopted the above then could almost do it with my eyes closed
