3.2: Option to display search results as Posts on drop-down menu to right of Search box

I've requested this a couple of times in the past, but it would be useful if the user could choose whether they want search results shown as Posts or Topic list from the drop-down menu to the right of the Search box at the top right.

Fingers crossed that it can be slipped in for 3.2.0 final (or 3.2.1).
