HI

Hes adamant he has not edited any of your code - just added an additional gateway.

Perhaps we can try it this way.

Can anyone let me know if they are running IP.Board 3.3.4 and have the latest version of subscriptions manager ( v1.2.0) and have Allow recurring payments? set to YES.

If so when someone cancels does everything look ok?

Many thanks,.

I get really tired of doing what I do for what revenue I make, just to hear comments like this that make it seem like I'm the one not doing enough.

Perhaps you need to use it in order to support more effectively.

Or, perhaps, as a member who uses Micheal's mods, you should offer genuine input, and helpful advice and information, rather than telling the coder (the person who is helping the membership by providing mods such as this one, that allow our sites to accept payments, and move members into appropriate user groups quite easily) that he should be using his own mods? You always have the option of simply adding payment buttons on your site, and moving your members into a sponsor user group manually, rather than having his mod do it for you automatically, making your life easier.

I still can't believe a member made such a thoughtless statement to a coder. I mean, should a coder actually have to use every one of his or her mods? Do you realize how ludicrous your suggestion is? Do you realize how many modifications this would include?

These people are doing this to help us, and to help benefit our forums. It is us who should be offering the feedback the coders need, so they can alter, change, and add options that we request / suggest, that we need, that we should be thankful for in the first place.

You should be ashamed of yourself for making such statements to him.

Michael, please know there are members here who appreciate the efforts of coders, and the work you good people put into the modifications.

Damn it. I just realized I didn't make donations for some mods I recently requested. Bad IPS member. Bad IPS member. I will sort that out today.

No problem, your call.

But if you want to support it do so without complaining that you don't use with the implication that you don't care how it works.

ZJohn,

This is a support topic. Please use it as such. Your issues with Michael are between you and him and not for these forums. If you require support for the mod, post details about your issue so the problem, if present, can be found.

From what I recall, Micheal took over this project from IPS when IPS was no longer going to support it. He has kept this mod up to date for the benefit of the community. Edited by Aiwa

I would be intrigued to know how you test and support software if you haven't used it's features through to completion.

I have tested and supported humongous real world systems without ever running them for real.

 I just did a major API interface for a client to use to authorise billing of cpu's from a third party (to them) 'farm' no way I can run it I do not have the megabucks to hire server farms. Elite Ladders SSO I don't run it two people wanted it and I developed it, I am quite able to support it without running it on my own system and when I want to test I can whizz up a localhost setup in about 15 seconds flat. When I was doing this for a living as the developer I was not permitted to go near the live system at all to even enter the control room required escort.

Now you are just being funny .. in the few instances where replication is not possible the client (in the case with recent stuff) gives temporary access to their system or in the case of the real world one an operations support programmer would build a replication for me. You a drawing a very long bow now, you asked how stuff could be supported when you do not run it and I have given you three examples.

And I would not compare this product to the one you just quoted.

... and what is the answer to this question?
