Michael.J Posted October 21, 2011 Author Share Posted October 21, 2011 If you wanted to do this as a paid app, then i would be willing to buy. Also i would like to thank you for taking the portal on. Great job appreciated... Thank You. :) No plans to make this a paid app or offer extra functionality in a paid version. Just don't have the free time yet to add any new features. But... if your Portal doesn't support Blog yet that would explain it I guess? Yes, until it's included by me the previous code is likely buggy. IPS themselves probably removed the plugin settings after they removed the Portal from IPB 3.2.x. Whats the code for Portal to have three columns? Check on page 3, haven't really tested it but another member is using it. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
tuwebfacil Posted October 21, 2011 Share Posted October 21, 2011 Hi, After I upgraded to IPB 3.2.3 I am getting Database Error on the portal, any idea of what it can be causing it? Regards, Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Michael.J Posted October 22, 2011 Author Share Posted October 22, 2011 Unknown, check Admin CP > Support Tab > Logs > SQL Error Logs. And report back the error details. Make sure you visit the Portal before visiting here so the latest error will be related to the portal. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Mat-Moo Posted October 22, 2011 Share Posted October 22, 2011 Thanks for this super little addon! Got it working pretty well at www.rhocar.org :) Little hack for 3 columns using divs <style> .ipsLayout.ipsLayout_largeleft { padding-right: 210px; padding-left:280px; } </style> <if test="disablelightbox:|:!$this->settings['disable_lightbox']"> {parse template="include_lightbox" group="global" params=""} </if> <div class='ipsLayout ipsLayout_withright ipsLayout_largeleft clearfix'> <div class='ipsLayout_left'> <!--::portal_sitenav::--> <!--::online_users_show::--> <!--::latest_topics_sidebar::--> <!--::garage_box::--> </div> <div class='ipsLayout_content clearfix'> <!--::latest_topics_main::--> </div> <div class='ipsLayout_right'> <!--::portal_affiliates::--> </div> </div> {parse template="include_highlighter" group="global" params="1"} Wide left, right a bit more narrow based on current column widths - hope this helps someone. LPPalScore Posted October 24, 2011 Share Posted October 24, 2011 How would I add an RSS feed to Portal? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Michael.J Posted October 24, 2011 Author Share Posted October 24, 2011 An inbuilt rss feed is not included and it's not something I can give a few edits to achieve. But you should be able to create an rss feed of the forums the Portal uses and manually include it in the Portals template. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Warboc Posted October 26, 2011 Share Posted October 26, 2011 Is there a way to move the portal tab to the left of the forums tab? In other words, can it be moved to the far left on the primary navigation bar and be first when reading from left to right? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Michael.J Posted October 27, 2011 Author Share Posted October 27, 2011 IPB only allows you to re-order the navigation tabs within each of the application categories. (Core Apps, IPS Apps, 3rd Party Apps). You'll need to add the link manually to the template bit and disable the Portal tab. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Michael.J Posted November 15, 2011 Author Share Posted November 15, 2011 Is there a way to change Portal- board name to Home- Board name ? Yep either search for the language word portal_title in your language manager and change it. That will change the navigation breadcrumb as well as the title. Or if you only wanted to change the title, open the same file mentioned in the previous instructions and just use this instead.$this->registry->output->setTitle( 'Home - '. $this->settings['board_name'] ); Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Harbo5 Posted November 25, 2011 Share Posted November 25, 2011 I just went and installed Portal, then when I click the Portal link I get this error:Fatal error: Call to a member function skeletonTemplate() on a non-object in /home/content/78/8547578/html/admin/applications_addon/other/portal/modules_public/portal/portal.php on line 132 Any idea why I'm getting this error? c-o-m-m-a-n-d-e-r Posted November 26, 2011 Share Posted November 26, 2011 Hi Mike, without my mistake by installation :wink:, your portal with all available plugins works very fine for us on our testboard. :flowers: But one little error i can´t resolve. The ipb Mini Calender works correctly on Forum and now i paste in skeleton.template<!--::calendar_show_current_month::--> so if i do this and go to portal, i see this error message There appears to be an error with the database.... Any hints? Thanks and greetings from Germany Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Michael.J Posted November 29, 2011 Author Share Posted November 29, 2011 You post topics in the forum like normal and select which forums you want to pull topics from to display in the Portal. In Admin CP > Other Apps dropdown > Portal > Portal Settings > Latest Topics (Main) - Forums. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
