Darksbane0 Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 I realize that the photo and avatar was merged into one, but does that mean that admins will no longer have the ability to give users a list of avatars to choose from?
sunrisecc Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Per the discussion at http://community.invisionpower.com/topic/339351-were-avatar-galleries-removed-in-ipboard-32/, it sure appears so.
TCWT Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 ^ Not everyone can read that topic. That's pretty lame. My forum has an extensive collection of avatars that members could choose from. Now, they will have none in their profile when upgraded to 3.2.
Haku2 Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 ^ Not everyone can read that topic. That's pretty lame. My forum has an extensive collection of avatars that members could choose from. Now, they will have none in their profile when upgraded to 3.2. I know. I've been really pissed off about this. Here's my first post in that topic: There doesn't seem to be any option to use an avatar from a gallery. Were avatar galleries removed in IP.Board 3.2? If so, that's really disappointing. They were pretty useful for boards about specific topics like gaming, television, movies, and anime. Users could quickly select an image of a topic they were interested in, especially since you could categorize the images. Additionally, they seemed to be useful in children's boards as it prevented inappropriate images from being used as avatars. I really hope that I just need to enable this feature somewhere and that this feature wasn't removed... Kind Regards, Haku
