Lewis P
Ah, so that's how you do it! I spent an hour earlier on trying, but failing. :D Good work on this Michael! I can see this request popping up quite often.

Dreamlander
Thanks Michale, too bad IPS took away this feature in ipb.3.2. I don't like this new version because they took away many features from 3.1.4 :(.And now I have to find out the hooks that will bring them up again. Gaffney
Any way you can style it a bit, it's off center(vertically) compared to the username.
Michael
Any way you can style it a bit, it's off center(vertically) compared to the username. Sure, you can style it if you wish, it's the Topic View -> hookUserOnline skin template.

Michael
There's a little icon to the left of user names in posts, it'll be green when that person is online and grey when they're not.
Genestoy
Another great mod Michael, hate to see all the good stuff being removed by IPS! Must make less work for them and more for you modders!
Gaffney
This is the closest to the middle I could get, but it means the text inside is about 1-2 pixels nearer the bottom than the top. .ipsBadgehook { display: inline-block; height: 18px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0 5px; font-size: 9px; font-weight: bold; text-transform: uppercase; color: #fff; -moz-border-radius: 4px; -webkit-border-radius: 4px; border-radius: 4px; }

AtariAge
Is it possible to move this badge so it displays after the username? Thanks, ..Al
Michael
As with any template hook, the way to move it is to edit the hook's settings and change the hook point. That's advanced customization, though, and you have to know what you're doing.

marklcfc
How do I go about replacing the online/offline text with icons?
Michael
By adding those to the Topic View -> hookUserOnline skin template.
marklcfc
There is a problem when replying via fast reply, "user is online" displays instead of the image. The image appears after a refresh, however. Could that be fixed?
Michael
That doesn't do that with the hook the way it is here in the Marketplace, it only does so on your board because you've changed the code of this hook to show that image instead.
