sound Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 as it says when a post is classed as "read" a fade using opaque of the posting members avatars would be a good clear easy understandable indicator imo such as already used in ipbskins skins
Biker.GA Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 No thank you. If it's to be included, let it be something that can be turned off.
Tanax Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 No thanks from me aswell. I tend to re-read already read posts and would not like the avatars to be faded.
invisiblex_merged Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 meant ipbforumskins eg [img] [/img] that looks good
Biker.GA Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 Fading out things is a TERRIBLE way of designing something. I had to really search hard for that stupid "Top" button at the bottom of a thread. Utilizing something like that to mark a thread as read would be a huge step backwards in the usability of this software for all people.

I believe that is different, I agree that they have faded Top and other text a little bit to much, but fading avatars, not to much, would be an even smaller problem. I think fading in general is a good idea.
Darksbane0 Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 Although I like this idea it really is just a skin issue. It should be able to be skinned in fairly easily.
