Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted May 8, 201114 yr There are some custom apps of Arcade. I think that I'll try some of them. But I have question: Are there any internal plans in future for develop of something like IP.Arcade? YES or NOT?
May 8, 201114 yr IPS could maybe make a Game Arcade app :) just for phun  Don't really think its that hard to make one :P
October 21, 201113 yr Author We are not currently planning on developing an arcade application. What means "currently"? It would be appreciated when IPS would develop this. I'd buy it. Online games are very popular for communities and this is what I am missing here.
October 21, 201113 yr Currently means "at this time". If we changed our minds and decided to expand and build an arcade application, we would likely blog about it at that time. I don't foresee it happening anytime in the near future myself, however.

It's a pity because apps from customers are don't developed fluently, their developers don't have time and app like this could be good improve for community.

While it's true that IPS has a fair amount of social sites being powered by IP.Board, a glance at the homepage will tell you that the product is marketed to corporate/business sites. Unless you can devise a way to make an arcade somehow useful to a business related site (like has been done with the blog & gallery)... it's probably not gonna happen unless IPS decides to change their target market to high school kids living on part-time jobs.
