In the profile comments system, if user A comments on user B's profile - B gets a notification
But I have loads of people who reply on their OWN profile comments, so B replies to A using B's profile comment
the result is A has no idea there is a reply

Please can you do something to alleviate this in 3.2 ?

The system should be just like xF and Facebook (and similar to the current status updates) where if someone makes a comment on your profile, you can comment under that as a reply. That way you can have conversations on your profiles with multiple people and not have to go from profile to profile. I think it would spark user activity as well. And then this way, notifications would be easy to keep track of.

This already exists under "My Settings" -> "Notification Options" -> "Status Updates" -> "Notify me of replies to status updates I have replied to".

Nah...would only involve those 2 members then. If you allow a conversation to occur on someone's profile page, it can be through multiple members, thus sparking activity...which is what we all want, amiright?
