jQuery AND Prototype?

Hi,
I noticed that my IP Board loads both the Prototype and jQuery libraries on each page load. Is this necessary? Does IPB use both libraries?

Well assuming the jQuery is being used for some script on the page, then yes. I tend to write my more advanced JS work with jQuery since that is what I am more more familiar with, so my forums load both jQuery for my work and Prototype for IPB's scripts. If everything is cached correctly, it shouldn't add much load time at all to the page...
