Nityananda Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 I know there are 2 ways in which the IP address can be stored at present in IP.Board. One of them is the actual IP being used to connect to the forum and the other comes from the header? (or something like that), which can be used to try and work out where someone is if they are behind a proxy. So... my question is .. Is there a reason that both cannot be stored? This way we can use the correct one most of the time and only check the other when its needed.
RyPingu Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 nice idea would certainly help with tracking down those who attempt to mask their true Ip address - as well as helping AOL users
