Someone removed my avatar changing ability.

Try just PM'ing a staff member next time instead of making a public topic about it?

Maybe because they did it.

Still maybe just pm the staff.

Does it really matter... it is their board they did it on

Is that your Facebook or Twitter avatar? If so, it's a bug that you can't remove it.

What problem are you having exactly?

There's not even an option in IPB to revoke an individual member's ability to change their avatar ;)

As far as I am aware, no one has removed your avatar changing ability (as Mark pointed out, you cannot do this at an individual member level anyways).

If you imported a Twitter avatar, there is a bug that is likely preventing you from changing your avatar.

I upload an avatar, it shows in the panel where you edit or remove avatars. View the forum and it shows the old one even when I switch to browsers I don't even use. Account isn't connected to my Twitter. My current avatar is my Gravatar, but that's the only time I can change it, so it's either my old one or my Gravatar.

Gravatar.... that rings a bell. Yup, thought so.

Yes, but when I upload a new avatar it'll show the previous one. Works fine on my forum.

What are you trying to change it to (like a link o the image). Are you positive you aren't changing the profile picture?

Is what shows in my avatar setting page, but is not the avatar that shows on my end which I just tried to change right now.

Someone from IPS is screwing with my account and is getting a laugh from this.

Yes, I'm sure they have nothing better to do than screw with your account so they can laugh at you.

Or, putting aside the tin-foil hat conspiracy theory for a moment, it could be a bug. Perhaps even one of the 3 or so quoted at you already.

Actually, I'd hazard a guess that it's our CDN, which quite vigorously caches images, etc. on our forums. It can take a day or two for such changes to be picked up in certain circumstances.

We do indeed have better things to do than mess around with customer accounts. :)

I see, that's quite a while.
