I have noticed that every time I search using the box at the top of this site, it ALWAYS returns no results. Typing the exact same search into the box again and hitting enter will give you results though. What's up with that? I started out thinking "Wow, there is no way there are no topics with that search term" so I started plugging it in again and sure thing... second time is always a charm.

Any ideas?

I think I just answered my own question. Posted this, looked up and the search box has defaulted to "This topic". Hopefully that's an easy thing to fix. My members would think my site was worthless if every time they ran a search, nothing came up!

yes thats it, the seach tries to be intuitive, its easy to reselect. Just a matter of getting used to the little differences. Nothing major in terms of deal breaking
