If you have a World of Warcraft account, you can log in to their forums and highlight a word or phrase in a thread, which will pop up a "Quote" option just under the highlighted text as long as you have posting privileges. When you click "Quote", it of course copies the highlighted text to the compose new message box with the relevant quote tags surrounding it.

I believe that this functionality would be a benefit to IPB if it can be duplicated in this software.

Yes, and several months with no reply. Hence me bringing it up again in a fashion that shows the requested functionality at work on a live forum.

Some people frown on bumping old threads, so I made my own.

This gave me an idea for a hook :)
