two days ago, a member told me that one video is not function. There is an error:

Would I be able to get a copy of that video and I'll check over to see if I can reproduce? There are still limits to what HTML5 can support and you'll also need to factor in different browsers will support different videos as well.

I just upgraded Videos. I was running version 3.1.7, and it said there was an upgrade available. So I went to IP and downloaded it.

There was no .xml file, so I assumed it was just an upload of the files in the upgrade package. So I uploaded them.

Now, when I go to the Videos section, I get this error:

Quote

 Sorry, there is a problem
Something went wrong. Please try again.

Error code: EX1054

If I refresh the page, it works okay. But when I go back to it later, I get the same error again.

If I click on a video, I also get the above error. But unfortunately if I refresh the page while trying to see the video, I get the error again.

And in my control panel in Applications, for Videos, it still says "Update Available!"

The videos section on my site affected is here:

Can you post this in the IPB 4 support topic please?

First thing, please try removing the latest video comments widget and see if that stops these errors?

There was a WinRAR archive file within a WinRAR ZIP archive file. Was I supposed to upload the internal WinRAR archive file through the CPanel?

All upgrades can be done through the admin cp now. If you came from IPB 3.4, then using this specific instructions - http://www.devfuse.com/forums/tutorials/article/165-upgrade-from-ipboard-34x/

yes...proud user of IPB 3.4.6!

:thumbsup:

This will display the video thumbnail below the video description.

Open admin/applications_addon/other/videos/extensions/rssOutput,php

Find:

$r['description'] = IPSText::getTextClass( 'bbcode' )->preDisplayParse( $r['description'] );

Add BELOW:

            $thumbImg = ( $r['thumbnail_type'] == '2' ) ? $r['thumbnail'] : str_replace( '{root_path}', $this->settings['board_url'], $this->settings['vs_thumbnail_url'] ) . $r['thumbnail'];
            $r['description'] .= $r['thumbnail'] ? "<br><img src='{$thumbImg}' />" : "";

Save.

I haven't tested this but try something like this.

Open admin/applications_addon/ips/downloads/extensions/rssOutput.php

Find:

$r['file_desc'] = IPSText::getTextClass( 'bbcode' )->preDisplayParse( $r['file_desc'] );

Add BELOW:

            $thumbImg = ipsRegistry::getClass('output')->formatUrl( ipsRegistry::$settings['board_url'] . '/index.php?app=downloads&amp;module=display&amp;section=screenshot&amp;id='.$r['file_id'] );
            $r['file_desc'] .= $thumbImg ? "<br><img src='{$thumbImg}' />" : "";

Save.

After we was changing the hosts again, almost all the videos have an "html5:Unsupported Video" Error - even a new upload doesnt help.

Can you send me acp login details or a few sample videos that your having issues with?

What Video Player is your system using?

Should be Flowplayer v5.4.1. That's version last used for Videos IPB 3.4.x.
