is it possible to add new entry on my friend "recent status" page?

What I have on my mind? To be more facebook style.
I'd like to add some fresh comment to my Friend. Not only to comment his statuses.

Is it possible to make any better visible counter how many friends do we have?

I suppose profile comments and status updates could be merged in to one box.

That will be our aim too.

and maybe better "friends" management.
I would like to see both sides accept friendship and then we could post anything.
If there is only one side "friendship" it's little bit stupid and very unsafe.
Somebody would post something bad about us
