IPS Forums - You do not have permission ....

Featured Replies

I visited the link for a mod to ban members from selected forums and got an error that I did not have permission for that section of the site:

http://community.invisionpower.com/files/file/1194-d23-ban-members-from-select-forums-v10/

I suspect that isn't the case though - I suspect the file no longer exists, but shouldn't the error message say so - it's a little confusing to tell me I don't have access if that's not true?

Cheers,
Shaun :D

The file your trying to access is from July 2007 so I imagine it can't be accessed as it's for an old version of IP.Board thats no longer supported.
Your correct though the error message is a bit confusing.

Have you checked out this mod? :)

I think that the old downloads are just hidden away for now, so they may infact still exsist, hence you getting the no permission error. I think i remember Charles saying he was slowly phasing out really old mods, which involved removing but not destorying them for a few weeks / months.

The download link just points to Adriano's profile and the site is non-English and so I couldn't get much info.

I may send Adriano a PM later to see if this is still available and find out how I could get it.

(Tidying-up / archiving old mods sounds like a reasonable explanation of the error too, thanks ... )

The mod author has gotten rid of his license and the impression I get is he's no longer supporting his modifications.

That's a shame.

Oh well, I guess that's one more thing that needs adding to the suggestions forum ... ban members from selected forums

Cheers,
Shaun :D

Just to clear some things up here, Anthony was the closest to being correct.

Because we have ended support for 2.3 and it is officially end-of-life at this point, we have hidden all modifications and resources related to 2.3

Sorry for the trouble.
