Anyway, my suggestion is to add an $_GET in the topic in all of the posts, so when the moderator go to warn the member the number of the post will be attached, and in the warn system have automatically add the contact of the warn to personal messenger with the data, like: "Hello, the moderator (name of moderator) have warn you because : "link of the post".
