Posted June 25, 201014 yr Apparently BBcode does not get parsed in Profile Comments, and this is 'working as intended'. This is totally absurd to me. Why has BBcode not been allowed in Profile Comments whereas it's allowed most other places on the board?
June 25, 201014 yr I think it's been said that the concept of a profile comment is keep it simple, thus not parsing things in it as you would in a post within a topic.

That argument might have worked back in the 2.x series, but admins have had the ability to choose where each BBCode can be used since IPB 3.0. Profile comments isn't one of the sections where you have the option of enabling/disabling BBCodes even though it should be and should have been since IPB 3.0 was released.

The ability you're describing (choosing where bbcodes can be used) is a feature of the IP.Board editor. Profile comments do not use the IP.Board editor. They use a simple textarea.
