TestingSomething
I hope there will be some developer documentation for 3.1 soon. For one thing I'm not sure if anything needs to be done to 3.0 apps. IPS stated that blog and gallery were updated to work with 3.1, for example, but as far as I know nothing needed to be done to update an existing app to work with 3.1. Mark
All of the developer documentation was recently updated for 3.1: http://community.invisionpower.com/resources/documentation/index.html/_/developer-resources/ The only thing you need to change to get an app working on 3.1 (as I recall of the top of my head) is search: http://community.invisionpower.com/resources/documentation/index.html/_/developer-resources/custom-applications/search-r362

The end goal is to make applications as "self-contained" as possible.
Mark
Ah yeah, sorry. The articles describing those are though like I say, updated to 3.1 some time ago :)
TestingSomething
Yes i did know about moving the files for the profilr portal. Only place I already implemented thatw as ina custom app for someone. I mentioned to him a couple weeks ago that he would ened to move it when IPB 3.1 is released. Thanks for all the information. I'm looking forward to development being a bit easier. Especially if I can get some data hook points in certain places. That would help a ton. TestingSomething
Is there an example file anywere for using a data hook? I read the article, but it's always nice to have an example file to be sure it's set up properly. I'm still trying to figure out which topicView data hooks I need to use for something too so i need to look through it better I guess. I personally could use some hooks in the ACP. To hook into the member edit form (for viewing and the insert), the forum edit form, etc... Also publicly the member card popup. Trying to get rid of a lot of template edits for some of these and file edits for others.
bfarber
Please post in the peer to peer forum for such requests. :)
TestingSomething
Well the data hook suggestions are suggestions rather than any support request and I believe one of the posts stated to post in this forum to request those in particular points. I can't post in peer to peer for board yet as far as that goes.
