Myr
It would be really great if you could add a Paste From Word button in the rich text editor like that from TinyMCE and others. (when you paste text from MS Word of any version, you end up with a double spaced mess.) I nearly scream when I have to paste something from email (Outlook, which uses Word) into a post in my admin forum. In addition, I run a website dedicated to writing. A lot of people would like to be able to paste directly from where they were writing and just have it work.
estan
+1 I love the idea too. This will be very helpful for my community especially for IP.Content articles.

.Ian
The problem pasting from word is that you end up pasting a load of extra crap.
Clickfinity
The problem pasting from word is that you end up pasting a load of extra crap. That's true. One of my testers managed to break IP.Blog by posting a large Word document and publishing ... sent the blog page bonkers ... :D
Myr
The Paste From Word button is meant to strip out the crap from Word and leave behind the text as WYSIWYG. Because when you paste it in, it looks normal until you publish.
Myr
Any possibility on this?
Bobby D
I can already tell you that this feature is possible to do, as Wordpress uses it already with their editor. ;]
Charle
I believe there is an issue with a Blog vs. a Forum (1 vs. many users) and the risk of someone breaking the layout with the code that comes in from Word. -Charle
