Features:

  • set width and height of each thumbnail - per forum,
  • choose what kind of images - external (entered by link) or internal (uploaded into board) you want show - per forum or choose the prority: first external then internal or vice versa,

Couple of questions:

1. Does this mod require any hacks (edits of IPS files) ?

2. Are the thumbs created by resizing the image to a new smaller image, or by adding width and height attributes to the original image?

Thanks, Greg

Hello guys!

Hi, I installed this mod and do not let me select External Images, I select it but change only Internal Images.

Could you send me access to your ACP? I never got this error.

Ad 1 - unfortunatelly yes - if IPS will allow add new form items into forums edit then I'll try do this without edits.
Ad 2 - by adding.

This mod is for 3.x series.

Great work!
Im interested in buying but I just want to know what is happening when type of image is set to internal and there are only external images in post? Is thumbnail than generated with external image?

And one more... Does the image keep proportions after resizing or it fit in given width and height?

I hope u understand what I am asking :)

I posted this on the customer forum. Man I hope this is the hook I am looking for. We switched from VBB to IPB. Previous to the switch we had a mod in our classifieds that would show the photo of the item on left side of post in the index page. Is there a similar hook for IPb?

Open file: admin/applications/forums/modules_public/forums/forums.php
Find:

if ( $dp3_settings['adt_enable'] AND in_array( $this->memberData['member_group_id'], explode(',', $dp3_settings['adt_groups'] ) ) )

Change to:

if ( $dp3_settings['adt_enable'] AND in_array( $this->memberData['member_group_id'], explode(',', $dp3_settings['adt_groups'] ) ) AND count( $topic_ids ) )

Works?

Find:

'where'  => "a.attach_post_key = p.post_key AND a.attach_is_image = 1 AND a.attach_approved = 1",

Change to:

'where'  => "a.attach_post_key = p.post_key AND a.attach_is_image = 1",

I don't understand what is meant by INTERNAL image? What are they exactly?

Can this be set up automatically use the original posters PROFILE PICTURE?

EXTRA CREDIT: Could it be made to allow the poster to select a thumbnail from their Gallery (4.01)?

Thanx

Neil

I have a problem, when i enable mod in a forum after the editing they didn't keep the setting up.. always its "Enable mod in this forum? <No>" and the others settings never change too.

All the edit of the files are correct
