I thought I had a clean install, but when I went to add a Category I got the following message:

Is there an option for the admin to approve a listing before it goes up? I didn't see one. That would be nice.

I am getting this wonderful error:

[#10913] You do not have permission to list items.

I have cleared all my cookies and other things suggested in earlier posts, but I still cannot get passed this error. Is there an area that permissions are set for this module? I have looked and looked but cannot find any place to set them.

Its in Members-->Manage Groups, then in the Classifieds Tab...

You need to set up the group permissions;

ACP -> Members -> Manage User Groups -> "group name" dropdown -> Edit Group -> Classifieds

I downloaded this product from here at Invision Power and attempted to install it on my 3.1.4 IPB, and it did not install. There were no instructions with the download package, so I just uploaded everything to the correct directories, then went to ACP>Manage Applications & Modules and it was at the bottom under applications not installed.

I clicked on the "install" link and it took me to the "upgrade" system rather than actually installing the app. In the upgrade system, it did have the classifieds listed and noted as "up to date" so there was no way to "upgrade" it.

What do I have to do to install this product on a 3.1.4 board?

Did you try to install under: Settings > (then on the left hand side under)Applications & Modules > Manage Applications & Modules?

My experience has been that the link to the download seems to have changed back and forth. I finally caught it at Alpha 1.0005 which worked for me. Is that the version you downloaded and uploaded to your site?

I found the problem.

I had installed the classifieds system from Sacred (real custom scripts) but had to uninstall due to some security issues, but there was still an entry in the ibf_upgrade_history table for "classifieds", after deleting that it installed okay.

Ignore this post, problem was fixed.

New install 3.1.4
installed classifieds

problem

on my forum email notifications works OK when user is subscribed to forum
email notifications are not sent when user is subscribed to classified category

also

Invision Power Board> Your control panel> Settings > Notification Options
the radio button
"Notify me of new classifieds in subscribed categories"
does not stay set on pressing "save changes"

also

ACP > Members > Manage Members > Viewing Member david
the radio button
"Notify me of new classifieds in subscribed categories"
does not stay set on pressing "save changes"

also

Invision Power Board > Your control panel > Forums > Manage Watched Forums
lists the forums that the user has subscribed to
but
There is not an entry here or a tab for classified category subscriptions

note:
problem exist with both users who are members and users who are administrators

Probably is an easy one for someone.
I just installed classifieds on my test bard to check ok went into the setting and selected £ for the currency. Saved and rechecked.
Yet, when i look at the listings there still showing, $

Any help please or am i missing something here.
