Tom_F
I really like the side bar since it's introduction in v3 but not everyone who is active on my communities does. In v3 the option isn't available to collapse this by default - you can only have it opened or off completely. It would be really nice to use this feature but by default have it minimised. Morrigan
Well if it were minimized by default most people wouldn't know it was there.
marklcfc
Any option for this available?
Graeme S.
I'm also looking to find a way to have sidebar closed by default. Any ideas?

.Ian
The problem is, that if you have adverts in it, do you really want it hidden by default? What I would like to see is, two sidebars on every page, then the contents of those sidebars controlled by the user, with compulsory options (as chosen by the admin) always showing. If there are no compulsory items, then the user would be able to add as many items as they wished, or have nothing showing. By having two sidebars the user could have say 10 items (widgets) spread over the two sidebars, or 1 or 2 only on the right or left. If there was say a compulsory item, then the user would have the choice to show this on the right or left. Okay - this is highly unlikely to every happen, but it would be nice :)
Tom_F
The problem is, that if you have adverts in it, do you really want it hidden by default? Not saying it has to be. But the option to make it, by default, closed if you so wish to do so.
