Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted February 8, 201015 yr First, I almost never experience downtime for my site hosted on your servers, for which I am very grateful. My experiences with this company have been overwhelmingly positive. However, when problems do occur, there is never any information released to site owners. Even just a message somewhere on the IPS site saying "server x is down for maintenance, we're aware of the problem and working on it" would save a lot of headaches, and it doesn't seem like it would take too much time or effort to do. I think it would also lower the number of support tickets you receive for problems you're already working on fixing. When my site is down, I just want to know somebody is aware of it and is doing something to fix it.
February 8, 201015 yr Management We do have http://www.ipshosting.net which will show various information. It is updated automatically when our monitoring detects an issue and, if an issue is going to take a while to resolve, our staff will post a more specific message there.
February 8, 201015 yr Author Thanks, Charles. I've been with IPS for four years and I'd never heard of this before.
