AlexJ Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 Quick questions: 1. Can I change the folder name while uploading it from contato to contact? So the link becomes ?app=contact. 2. For some reason I installed the application and then wanted to change folder name so I uninstalled it. Now I am trying to re install back but it shows it's installed and doesn't allow me to re install back. How can I completely remove this application?
Adriano Faria Posted February 21, 2010 Author Posted February 21, 2010 No, you can't. If you change it, you'll have to edit all files to change classes name + change all "app=contato" to "app=contact".
AlexJ Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 No, you can't. If you change it, you'll have to edit all files to change classes name. Ok. Now how can I install it back? Because it shows me it's not installed and when i try to install it back it shows me it's installed. Can you please help? Thanks.
Adriano Faria Posted February 21, 2010 Author Posted February 21, 2010 Didn't understand quite well what you've done. Anyway, if you changed the name, back to its original name, uinstall it. Or you can try to reupload all intact files.
AlexJ Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 Yes i have already done what you said but when I click on Install from ACP it says application is installed, but I can't see any options for it.
Adriano Faria Posted February 21, 2010 Author Posted February 21, 2010 Well, it's a not specific problem of this APP. It will happen with any other. You will only install if you uninstall it first.
.Ian Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 Can you specify as to who gets the PMs - i.e. members 1,6 & 15 or say groups 1 & 3? Or is it just one person or one group?
Adriano Faria Posted February 21, 2010 Author Posted February 21, 2010 Permissons are per group basis.
AlexJ Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 Well, it's a not specific problem of this APP. It will happen with any other. You will only install if you uninstall it first. It's uninstalled. Here is the screenshot from ACP. Now if I click on Install, it shows me it's installed and doesn't allow me to install it. What should I do?
AlexJ Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 Remove the app folder. Then how can I install it? Thing is even though it says it's installed it's not. It has only empty tables in database. If we remove all present tables, it will allow me to install back? Which query should I run to remove the tables for it?
.Ian Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 Permissons are per group basis. Okay thanks - I would have to create a secondary group just for myself if used.
Adriano Faria Posted February 22, 2010 Author Posted February 22, 2010 PM me with login details and I'll take a look for you. It's a little complicated to know what you've done exacly.
Nervosa Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 I tried to use this mod. I set it up to send PMs, when I sent a test I did not receive a pm to myself. Ideas as to why this wouldnt work?
Adriano Faria Posted March 13, 2010 Author Posted March 13, 2010 Yeap! IPB3 don't send PM to yourself. ;)
Nervosa Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 I take it neither can guests, Is there a work around?
Nervosa Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 I meant, guests sending PMs via this. Can only users logged in use the contact form?
Adriano Faria Posted March 13, 2010 Author Posted March 13, 2010 If you set to guests use, they can use. Go to My Apps -> Contact Form and choose allowed groups that can use it. Again: if you choose your member ID as the PM Author, you won't receive the PM.
Nervosa Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 Again: if you choose your member ID as the PM Author, you won't receive the PM. Ah ok, I guess that's way I wasn't receiving PMs, Guess Ill have to make a dummy account for this.
