Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted January 30, 201015 yr Hello, When we click on "members", in the navbar, we have different options to order the list. But I don't see any option to order by reputation. Order by reputation is useful to find in one click the most interresting members for the forum. So on this page, at the right of the line "all", we have : * Member name * Post Count * Join Date Just add *reputation :)
January 30, 201015 yr A user made this as a tutorial on my board: I can't post it here 'cause it is not mine. But you can see it here http://forum.sosinvision.com.br/index.php?app=tutorials&article=1736
January 30, 201015 yr This is something I definitely think should be included in IP.Board as standard. What's more is that it should be possible to order both ASC and DESC.
January 30, 201015 yr Author About reputation, we should be able to find the messages congratulated. I saw that elsewhere...
January 30, 201015 yr It's been suggested a number of times. Hopefully it'll be implemented at some point :).
January 30, 201015 yr The risk with such a thing is reputation becoming a bigger deal, and people competing [or fighting] to get the highest spot. I imagine such a feature would tend to harm communities more than benefit them.

I imagine such a feature would tend to harm communities more than benefit them. You could argue the same thing for post count. It's not really a "feature" -- the feature is the reputation system itself. All this is is adding a filter to the member list.

Admin permissions: - Enable reputation: Y/N - Allow reputation filtering on memberpage: Y/N Those who do not wish to allow filtering by reputation count, disable that. Those who do not wish to have reputation at all, disable that.
January 31, 201015 yr Author In fact, IPB needs a complete reputation system: Who give +1 about which messages ? The list of every notations awarded by a member. Why not the total of +1 and -1 awarded by a member to others, to see if he's positif or négatif, etc... Why not the total of +1 and -1 for all the forum, or each category ? I like when we can see at the bottom of one message who congratulated it. It's useful in a community, to discover the opinions of each member.
