Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted January 18, 201015 yr Even thought I send in a support ticket I post here that IPS in overal is a good company to work with but you realy should get a grip on your billing manager. Several times I have to search my paypal account after the transaction details and prove I own the product that is no longer in my account or I get to renew the product for the price as if its a new product. It makes me that I'm always alert as what is happening with my account here at IPB, doesn't get me a relaxed feeling at all. Exited to try the new IP.Gallery but will just have to wait till it's being re-added to my account again.
January 18, 201015 yr lol, know what you mean, when my account got hacked some how, it toke me forever to prove i had a license. :/

January 18, 201015 yr Author Atleast I got a respond and could download the gallery update again. I hope they keep my records as how they are.
January 18, 201015 yr If it's an ongoing issue, there could be something wrong with your account that is causing the issue. In that case, ask them to let you make a new account (using a different email address) and transfer the licenses to that new account and see if that clears up the problem. Either that or 'delete' the old licenses and give you new ones, with notes describing what happened, so that you are given any grandfather consideration with little or no hassle. I find it odd that this keeps happening to you (as mentioned in your first post), so it's definitely an issue that you should have looked at to try to fix it once and for all.
January 19, 201015 yr Licenses don't randomly disappear from accounts on a regular basis. If you are having some routine issue with your licenses, I'd definitely issue a ticket to discuss it. That shouldn't be happening.
January 19, 201015 yr Thats not a bad thing, or I could just pretend to be you and take away your account. ;) No, i mean, what happened was, this person somehow got access to my account, changed all the information on it, and thats it. Then when i tried logging in, doing a password reset, etc, i couldn't (they changed the email). And it toke me forever to prove to IPS it was my account. I had to get logs from Paypal, i had to tell them my Credit Card info. Etc etc etc. And you can't really pretend to be me without some sort of information behind it. Besides, There are things called IP Logs, Email Logs, and Paypal Logs. Once those are set, theres not much someone can do to help their case. But yea, as soon as i presented my credit card info, i got my account back. :)
January 21, 201015 yr Community Expert Management You'll be amazed at how many people sell their accounts and then claim it was stolen using emails, IP logs and PayPal logs to back up their claim.
January 21, 201015 yr You'll be amazed at how many people sell their accounts and then claim it was stolen using emails, IP logs and PayPal logs to back up their claim. It's sad that people have nothing better to do than to try to scam others. (Not saying anything about the OP, just those people you are referring to.)
