September 1, 201014 yr I can confirm this works kinda fine on IPB 3.1.2. But i have no idea what the forum tab does? It kept taking me back to my board index page so i disabled it. Maybe it needs more steam id's enabled? I'll get my mates to do theirs when they get in from work later. Also could someone please tell me what to edit to get rid of this in the Manage Applications & Modules list so i can point it to my smaller image? Thanks Image of custom profile field management panel. I used the "Steam ID" option in Profile Group and it put it below my sub_rank mod. Using "Contact Methods" or "Profile Information" will move its position to the other lists accordingly ..." alt="" class="ipsImage" width="1000" height="478"> My forum profile with Steam ID enabled ... Clicking the image gives ... " alt="" class="ipsImage" width="1000" height="477"> If anyones still having problems i have included the text document of what i did below. It does not include the user profile part but i used the 17 digit number as described in rtc2's post. Unfortunately i can't upload the rarred image folder. Hope this helps someone. :thumbsup:rctsteam installation.txt
September 1, 201014 yr I thought i had made some progress but i still cant seem to get it to show a link in my profile page just my 17 digit id number? If i change the profile group to contact method i now see my small icon in my profile but still followed by the 17 digit number. Any ideas please? Thanks =ChAoS=
September 21, 201014 yr I am assuming every one else is like me and can not get this to work on 3.1.2 When clicking on the tab or in the acp it either goes back to the forum index or acp main page
September 25, 201014 yr The tab doesn't do anything, this application just streamlines the API between profiles on STEAM and IPB. You should hide the forum tab and not worry about the ACP.
November 7, 201014 yr Dont work!!! My profile data like hrs. played is not showed nothing is showed not even my profile picture you can check on http://e-sport.hr/eforum
January 22, 201114 yr I edited the file class_rctsteam.php to get this to work properly on my forum. Open up adminapplications_addonotherrctsteamsourcesclassesclass_rctsteam.php FIND://Build the URL from the steamID64 $URL = "http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/".$steamID64."?xml=1"; REPLACE WITH: //Build the URL from the steamID64 $URL = "http://steamcommunity.com/id/".$steamID64."?xml=1"; Also, follow the directions posted above by MeoW to fix the Tab not showing up in User Profiles
January 22, 201114 yr I forgot to mention that you don't need your STEAM ID # just your regular STEAM ID user-name. Also, I'm running this on 3.1.4.
January 24, 201114 yr Hi FGforty2. I have just re installed this on a new board. Am i right in thinking you have managed to get this to work in Profiles and not just Topic View? I have followed all the above edits etc and tried it both with text input using the 17 digit code and also using my steam log in name, but still only see a clickable link in my topics. All i see in my profile is what i put in the text box when i edited it? Any ideas please. Thanks =ChAoS=

Make sure you rechache your skins.....and for good measure clear the System Cache. ACP->System-> Cache Management-> Recache All Edit: Make sure you did what MeoW posted or else it won't show up in your profile. To fix the tab not showing up do the following. Copy both the files from \admin\applications\members\sources\tabs Then navigate to \admin\applications_addon\other\rctsteam\extensions\ Now create a folder in extensions called "profileTabs" then place both the files you copied in that folder.
January 27, 201114 yr I edited the file class_rctsteam.php to get this to work properly on my forum. Open up adminapplications_addonotherrctsteamsourcesclassesclass_rctsteam.php FIND://Build the URL from the steamID64 $URL = "http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/".$steamID64."?xml=1"; REPLACE WITH: //Build the URL from the steamID64 $URL = "http://steamcommunity.com/id/".$steamID64."?xml=1"; Just tried this on my test forum, with the info you gave here changing /profiles/ to /id/ on board 3.1.4 works perfectly. however, if someone doesnt use the Custom URL to get the url /id/namehere They will have the original url with the 17 digit number, and therefore it wont work correctly.. So if the above change is used, those with no custom URL will need to use a custom URL for it to work correctly. There needs to be a way to use "both" setups for custom urls and the original 17 digit numbers at the same time.. Maybe some kind of if / else statement could work?
February 20, 201114 yr Hello, Can you tell me if you like me how to install this mod with a version v3.1.4? Thank you very much for your help;)
February 22, 201114 yr I've done everything listed above, however, on the profile it simply shows only the data as well as the icon, but does not allow you to navigate to their steam... any thoughts?
February 25, 201114 yr Author Author checking in after too long away from Ip.Board. I currently don't have plans to make this compatible with IP.Board 3.1 or to make it work with all the different STEAM ID formats. Unless anybody thinks it's worth paying for.....
October 11, 201113 yr I'd be willing to pay for something that integrates IP.Board with steam. I think it all depends on how far it'll integrate with Steam.
October 17, 201113 yr Well I'm even just looking for a login right now but nobody seems to want to do that even = /
November 28, 201113 yr File has been removed from the Marketplace as it was not kept up to date with the latest version of IP.Board and we have not been able to get a hold of the author to rectify this.Topic Closed
