nickf77 Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 I'm using IPB ver 1.3. Is there any way that I can hide the member no. that shows up under each user's information? Hiding the information in each user's profile isn't as important as hiding it on each post (above where it says join date and number of posts). Thanks in advance.
Connor T Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 On a free IPB 1.3 site then? You don't have as much control over the board then to do file edits or anything. Are you allowed to edit the HTML of the skins in your version? In other words, go ask around their forums they'll probably know :)
Management Matt Posted October 2, 2009 Management Posted October 2, 2009 Upgrade to IP.Board 3.0 and it's automatically hidden. It's a free upgrade for active license holders. For non-license holders, we'll upgrade you as part of the license price $149.99. If you're on a free hosted IPB, you're probably on InvisionFree. If you are and you want to upgrade, then ask InvisionFree for a copy of your database (they charge an nominal fee) and we can use that to upgrade you from.

Yes. I'm using Forumer. I guess I should try to see if I can find the peice of code for the member number and get rid of it. It'll take a lot of searching though. So there's no way to do it from the admin control panel other than editing the pure HTML?
bfarber Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Forumer does not use a stock IPB. You should get in touch with the software vendor you are using to doublecheck - I'm afraid we wouldn't have any way to tell you what you can do using another software package. :)
