globex Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 It appears that IPB doesn't GZIP the JavaScript files. Is this something I can activate in the settings, or does this need to be added to the feature requests? Here's PageSpeed's output: * Compressing /forums/public/min/index.php?g=js could save ~106.3kB. * Compressing index.php?charset=iso-8859-1&f=public/js/ipb.j... could save ~42.1kB.
Enkidu Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 Hello I have found a solution to this problem and now all my css and js are compressed :) I'll write a blog about it later on....hopefully :)
bfarber Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Minify should gzip the content, provided the php function used is enabled on your php installation.
