vesperala Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 to tell you something, no matter what, since 2.3.0 and to have same answer till now, this is a serious issue. language was never serious issue here, since I am a customer. you always give everyone same answers. for you never language is an issue and this is serious for me. e.g. for charles even stars are not important. but for me are, and my board will disappear without them, because my board is about exactly those stars he is thinking to remove. see, even if for someone are not a serious issue the stars, for me are. no sql trouble is as important that the main subject of the board, you know?

Pretty sure Charles is joking vesperala.

Lindsey_ Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 vesperala , Did Charles say that he was going to remove you as a customer at all? Did he also say that he would take your site away? "I'm tempted to take the stars away...." is just joking around verspala. I'm pretty sure Charles would not remove the STARS feature just because of you. :)
vesperala Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 later edit... is not important what I have to say. for me is funny
bfarber Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 [quote name='vesperala' date='18 August 2009 - 07:43 AM' timestamp='1250595816' post='1845593'] to tell you something, no matter what, since 2.3.0 and to have same answer till now, this is a serious issue. language was never serious issue here, since I am a customer. you always give everyone same answers. for you never language is an issue and this is serious for me. I have no idea what you've been waiting for since 2.3.0. The ACP was not language-abstractable, but we made it so in 3.0. There was no native RTL support, and we've added it for 3.0 out of the box, and have slowly been improving it in IE7 (the only browser that has issues with our implementations). IPB never supported locale support before 3.0, allowing you to customize the date formats for your own language. All of this is done for internationalization and language-independence, and then when 2 strings aren't translated you accuse us of not caring about our customers? Sigh.

Sigh. 2? how about the GENDER field? What you say about LOCATION? should I make a list to you to convince you is not 2 STRING? since 2.3.4 I keep telling you that I wish to translate this or the other one or that one... and the usual answer always was: YOU CANNOT. is not a serious matter, is not important, other things are more important. 1 year and a half this was the only answer I ever heard. date and time is customizable/can be translated? this is a good news if someone teach us how, where and if can be used different format for different languages.[quote name='bfarber' date='18 August 2009 - 05:58 PM' timestamp='1250607535' post='1845690'] Sigh.
Management Charles Posted August 18, 2009 Management Posted August 18, 2009 I think we have made our point clear about a dozen times in this topic. It's a bug/oversight that will be addressed in a future version.
