C. Waffles
What I would like is to be able to disable such options that compromise the security of the board, primarily sql queries and database backups, for ROOT admins. Whilst some may say that as root admin it makes sence to have all such permissions, but for some, like myself, I can control these actions server side, having it forum side is just an additional security risk. Even the most security conscience admin can fall victim of a 0day exploit, even after taking all the necessary steps to optimum security. Having the option to disable such features for root admins would improve security further, perhaps the settings to allow/disallow these actions for root admins could be controlled via the config file. Guest
There are no "root" admins and non-root admins anymore. Also, as far as SQL queries, that's already implemented for the most part. Try and run a DROP TABLE query from IPB's SQL toolbox; it won't let you.
C. Waffles
Makes much more seance to have such options controllable only from the config file, much like vB does.
