Mark Posted June 11, 2009 Share Posted June 11, 2009 Applications and modules go together. An application is an addon to the board, and is made up of modules. For example, Blog, Gallery, Downloads and the bug tracker we have here are applications. Hooks on the other hand, modify the behaviour of an existing area area of the board, or add some kind of functionality to an existing module. Sinistra Posted June 14, 2009 Share Posted June 14, 2009 Hooks and applications will make it easier for people that have alot of modifications installed on their board. when they upgrade it dosen't effect anything. this saves on time in installing them all over again.
