I use two spaces after periods when posting, and I do so intentionally. Why, on display, is the second space removed? I could understand parsing out excess (4, 5, 6 spaces) but why the second (and still fairly standard) space?

I don't think it's IPB doing it. The browser strips excess spaces (part of the HTML standard)

Just double-checked it. The output from PHP has the extra space.

Yeah if you view the page source, both spaces are there. Browsers only display one space however. If you put 75 spaces, or tabs for that matter, you'll still only see one space. ;)

Yeah, I just realized it happens in 2.3 also. I didn't know if it was a browser thing or or an IPB thing :).
