I was wondering if its possible to add flash video (.swf) as personal photo?
Most likely you're asking your self why video as personal photo? its because flash has so many cool slide shows that would look really nice with multiple photos on just one page.
Looking under ADMIN CP -> MANAGMENT -> ATTACHMENTS -> Attachment Types -> .swf there's option to allow it under
personal photos.

but whenever I try I get error wrong extension.

That file's saved as .zip. You're going to need to upload it in its own format (.swf).
Also, don't use free download sites as you can't get a direct link to the file. Upload it to your server.

Attached is the sample file.
I've always tried to upload as .swf but was still getting errors.
Then I've added .swf here tools & settings / user profiles / Allowed photo URL extensions and now it lets me upload it just
like any regular picture but nothing gets displayed?
Any other suggestions?

I don't think there is any code in place presently to handle .swf files for profile photos.
