Dark Phantom
Security is always provided till the product falls off the face of the earth. I suspect there will be a point where only the biggest security threats will be fixed. Most people call this end of shelf life or some variation, which can be good and/or bad depending on the type of product. My guess is that once IPB 3.0.0 is released the life cycle for 2.3.x will end short of quickly, due to the changes in 3.0.0 since they are after all major changes. bfarber
We will continue to provide support for, and release security updates for, 2.3 for the foreseeable future. Generally we EOL a version line once it's two versions old. i.e. when we release 3.1.0 we *may* EOL 2.3.6 at that point (though we can't guarantee that yet). We will provide notification once 2.3 will no longer be supported or updated.
